Bakes On Mesh (BoM), Recent Releases, and RL

Hello, hello!

It has been a bit. Part of this is that I have not been creating much, but also that this blog does not get much attention. The easiest way to remain up to date on recent :[Even~Tide]: releases is through Flickr ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/evegaelyth/ ) and subscribing in-world for updates ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Novazeit/244/8/2801 ). I will occasionally also send group gifts out through the subscriber. It does not take any precious group slots.

Bakes On Mesh

If you haven't yet heard, SecondLife has released 'Bakes on Mesh'. This is a feature that allows you to wear SL system layers and they will show up on your mesh body attachment -- if your mesh is updated for BoM, and your viewer is as well. Firestorm and the main SL viewer are both capable, as well as others that I am not familiar with. I do not know what bodies are currently updated except Slink and Maitreya has a temporary relay HUD that can be used until they make their full BoM release.

When I make products for release in SL, I normally include the system layer, Omega applier, Slink applier and Maitreya applier. This is to give the widest range I reasonably can. However, because Slink and Maitreya now both do BoM, there is no longer a need for separate appliers unless I am including materials. The only exception to this is tattoos that I wish to give left arm and right arm options to. That is something that I will do for Slink (as that is an option for that body) and in Omega Evolved appliers.

One of the wonderful things about BoM is if you are a long time SL user, you may still have in your inventory past skins and tattoos that you could no longer use when you switched to a mesh body, and now those can be used once more! I have always included system layers in my tattoo sets where I was reasonably able, to continue the accessibility for as many as possible.

Summary:

-Slink and Maitreya allow for Bakes On Mesh so you can wear system layer tattoos.
-I will only make Slink and Maitreya appliers when using materials or need a right and left option (Slink).
-Past tattoos already include system layers.
-I will continue to make system layer and Omega appliers.

And do not even get me started on TheMeshProject (#TMP). They have new bodies out, but due to their policies and methods, I do not have a way to make tattoos for them.

Recent Releases

As I mentioned, the best way to keep track of newer releases is to follow on Flickr or in-world. However, to show what's available since the last blog post, look below!

There were releases for Fantasy Faire, but as they are not available now, I won't tease you with them. I expect them to be in my Fantasy Faire shop in 2020 however, as I often include past exclusive releases.

Real Life

With SecondLife, we don't often share a lot about our Real Life or First Life. However, I will share that I have a major life change coming up within the week, and do not expect to have a lot of time online. I intend to continue creating and participating in events as I am able, such as Fantasy Faire in the spring, and a few rounds of We <3 RolePlay! (WLRP). I am, in fact, working on all things needed at this moment to attempt to be in the December round of the event.

I hope the upcoming winter finds you all well!

General Update, New-ish Releases

It's been too long since the last post, so I'll try to bring you up to speed.

Last year :[Even~Tide]: was in two RFL events in SL. Sci-Fi Convention and Fantasy Faire. Between the two, new releases were made of Trill Spots, Cyber Lines, Wing Scars, and special rainbow and gold editions of tattoos such as Magical, Seelie Glow and Seelie Scar. Since then, due to RL, participation in other events and new releases, in general, has been limited. Mosaic Spots and Frosted were both released through Genre.

Now, with 2017 come to a close, I look to my plans forward for 2018. An addition set and variation on the Battle Scars tattoo in the form of Fantasy Scars, with scarring from bites, claws and other wounds (if you are a fan of the Battle Scars); Variations of the new Mosaic Spots that will include ombre with intents to release this in the spring for Fantasy Faire as a limited edition or possibly gotcha; a brand new tattoo called 'Pebbling' meant to be suitable for more reptilian avatars and was inspired by turtles and tortoises; Updates for a variety of tattoos once Omega Evolved is released for Slink and Maitreya (this will allow all updated bodies to choose one arm for tattoos the way that slink already allows); And other tattoos as need and inspiration strike. (So, ya know, feel free to send inspiration links or requests.)

If you are looking for the best way to keep up on New Releases, hit the subscriber in world, or follow on Flickr.

Have a Happy New Year!

New Release! ... Kinda.

If you know me at all, or just look at my profile, you'll see that I am an RPer. RP is really where I started with my tattoo creation, and it's where I continue to look for ideas even today. The concept was to create tattoos that could be used on any skin to allow people to create their favorite fantasy avs in a way that might otherwise be out of their reach simply do to the cost of (often amazing) fantasy skins. Skins are HARD if you didn't know, and very worthy of the price asked for them. That said, I didn't want limited funds to prevent RPers from playing certain races.

To this day, my hallmark items are my scales. And, yes, in the future, there is yet another scale item that will be coming.

However, as I said, I'm an RPer.

So as a way to give back to the community that has given me so much, I have created a special edition of some select tattoos. The color set is inspired from the sim itself.

Product Information:

All packs sold on the Marketplace will include Omega, System and TMP. Because Slink and Maitreya can be applied via Omega, I did not see reason to make extra appliers (though I can given time and a special request). Per norm and original, all tattoos are Unisex. (Don't know Omega? Look here! )

New Dragon
- 12 unique tattoos.
- 6 regular or faint, 6 heavy or dark (so two fade levels of each tattoo)
- Scales are Purple (made from purple/silver), Blue (made from blue/brown) and Metallic (brown/silver). Two versions of each, plus two fade levels.
- Torso and legs only.

Mer Scales
- 6 unique tattoos.
- Scales are Purple (made from purple/silver), Blue (made from blue/brown) and Metallic (brown/silver). Two versions of each.
- Face (omega and system), torso and legs.

Faun Spots
- 3 unique tattoos
- Each tattoo is made of two colors. Purple/Silver, Blue/Brown, Silver/Brown.
- Face (from simple spots styling, omega and system), torso and legs.

Tiger Stripes (Two Tone)
- 6 unique tattoos
- Each tattoo is made of two colors. Purple/Silver, Blue/Brown, Silver/Brown.
- Each version has regular and 'faded'.
- Torso and legs only.

Runner Paint (Special)
- 4 unique tattoos
- Combination of normal 'Runner Paint' styles for a special release style.
- Four colors: Purple, Brown, Silver, Blue.
- Face (omega and system), torso and legs.

Marketplace Listings: http://tinyurl.com/jtpgztj

Because of the kind sponsorship of a friend, Eglantine Broome ( <3 ), I am able to offer these tattoos with 100% going to the sim to assist with funding a new sim and build. These tattoos will only be available for a limited time. How long? I haven't decided yet.

I will also do the following alterations. Simply buy the original product, then send a polite IM or NC with the request of which tattoo and what alteration you would like. If you would like it in TMP, it will be added to the existing style mode hud, and there will be an additional 10L charge, due to the extra cost of creating a preview image. Please understand, while these alterations can be quick, I am often in the middle of something else so it may take awhile, though rarely more than 48 hours.

Faun Spots: Solid color, purple/blue, half intensity/faded
     - No Face, 20L per tattoo, made in system and omega
     - With Face, 30L per tattoo, made in system and omega

Tiger Stripes: Solid color, purple/blue (either intensity)
     - 20L per tattoo, made in system and omega

Runner Paint, Mer Scales
     - System layer, no face tattoo. 0L

I think that covers everything. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me in world at Eve Gaelyth. And if you are an RPer yourself, looking for an urban fantasy sim, check out Convergence!

Thank you, Z, for all that you have done and strive for.

Slink & Omega

With one of the more recent updates to the SLink physique, and the release of the new Slink male mesh body, there are two changes that effect me the most. (And in a good way!)

Omega! -- With the newest update for Slink, you can now use Omega appliers. To get your body suitable for this, make sure you have the latest Slink body parts (body, hands, feet...) then go to the Omega store. ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Glamour%20Isle/155/142/34 <-- Slink female; http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Glamour%20Isle/155/112/44 <-- Slink male )

Once at the store, you will want to be part of the proper Omega group, so that you can get the converter cheap. This is also a really helpful group if you have problems with Omega in the future, or want to keep up to date. While in the store, you'll be able to see the HUGE number of bodies and body parts that are Omega compatible. Copy and paste this group into local: secondlife:///app/group/276e12ea-52c3-008f-d6c9-31fc8bd2ba73/about Then join!

After you join the group, click the Slink Kit. Pay the 1L cost. You will then need to go somewhere you can open that box up. Once you do so, inside there are instructions and the 'activator' if you will. Simply wear the body, wear/attach the activator, click it, and it will activate the scripts in the slink body parts that are worn. In local, you'll see the message that your body is now Omega ready. Hooray!

Don't know Omega? The easiest way of thinking about it is an additional applier to slink appliers. Just as you can use a slink applier to apply skins, tattoos, clothes and the rest, you can also use Omega. This DOES NOT include Slink nails. You can get more info at their website. ( http://lovenlustdesigns.blogspot.com/2015/09/omega-system-kit-slink.html )

Now, Slink!

Besides just vastly increasing the amount of skins that you can wear and cutting down on work for creators, Slink has for awhile been doing materials on the body as well, but there hasn't been a way to tint those tattoos.

Now, you can.

On my end this means all those tattoos I haven't bothered making appliers for because I didn't know what colors people wanted or such? Well, they are white, and now, you can tint them and use them on your Slink body. YAY! Some of the other mesh bodies don't have a good way to do this yet, but for Slink, it's in the HUD for the body itself. This is another reason to make sure you have the most up to date one.

Here's how it works...

Mostly, this is straight forward. Using either Omega or Slink appliers, you apply the tattoo to the body. (Make sure your tattoo layers are on so you can see it!) You then add the HUD.

You select the layers that you want to tint.

You select the color that you want it to be, from the color picker.

You can save the colors, the easier to match to others later, by clicking 'save' under a color save box. 'Clear' to clear it back to default white.

And, as you can see, you can save multiple colors. To use a color that's saved, simply click on it!

Ta-da! Easy as that.

I will be working on updating marketplace and the inworld store as I can with Omega appliers to those tattoos that didn't have it previously. TMP still doesn't have a way to tint, so each of those colors has to be done separate. Future releases will have TMP and Omega, but unlikely to have slink, since I can do materials through Omega, and that will give you the ability to add it to which ever layer you choose.

If you have any questions or requests, PLEASE feel free to IM or NC me in world at Eve Gaelyth. :)

New! New Dragon

Long time, no see, I know.

You may be better keeping track of what's going on by hitting the in world subscriber. In fact, do so, and you can even check for past items in the history and check out a few of the group gifts.

If you love the Dragon Scales, you might be very interested in this one...

'New Dragon' is a variation on the original Dragon Scales. Still Unisex. Nine color choices. Each includes system layer tattoo, plus appliers for Slink Physique, Omega and TheMeshProject. (Want materials? Want other clothing layers? Let me know!)

Soon I'll also put up my 'Glow Element - Water' gacha in the in world store. Soon is relative however, so.. if asked... I might put a few of them, limited supply, on the marketplace for grabbing.

Check out flickr for images! (and feel free to add your own with :[Even~Tide]: tattoos!) https://www.flickr.com/groups/2812406@N22/pool/

New Release & Updates!

Hello, Hello!

Newest Release: Dirty Body

I have had a few different friends ask for a dirt or dusty tattoo for their Slink Physique bodies, and finally was able to finish one for them. Two colors included, plus applier for TMP and Omega, as well as system tattoo layers (that include dirt on the face).

I have also been creating and updating past tattoos to have versions useable on Slink. Check out the marketplace for all the newest updates. http://tinyurl.com/mbghqoo

Genre! Androgynous

Slowly getting back into the swing of things, and that means... GENRE! This time around, the theme is 'androgynous'. At first I was like 'that is a near free for all because almost everything I do is unisex'. But, of course, unisex and androgynous aren't exactly the same thing. So I undertook something I'd long considered but never done due to the number of creators that do it better... I made a skin.

Looking around, there aren't really alot/any androgynous fantasy colored skins. Which feels odd, because it seems like the non-human races are more likely to be androgynous or non-gender...

Either way, I made a skin. It's still getting tweaked but will be done in a variety of colors coming in the future, so feel free to give a shout out if there's something you'd like to see done. I also made an 'add on' pack that has some of the things you might expect from me -- dragon scales and freckles in this case -- that are color matched to the skin. (Note: a new version of fantasy freckles will probably be released shortly.)

Other news:
~ Another fair coming up soon. Details to follow.
~ Fallen Gods currently has a Fortune Teller up with skin set inside, and a photo contest that you can enter until the 17th. Details: http://fallengodsinc.blogspot.com/2014/10/fallen-god-goddess-2014-election.html or http://fallengodsinc.blogspot.com/
~ Updating a number of appliers, so if there is something that you want/need, visit the in world store, drop a NC. You can follow the button arrow to get to the second floor where all the appliers will be. I'll be updating the marketplace as well to get appliers into all the kits. It's a bit of a task.

Medieval Fantasy Fair 4

Hello everyone!

I know, I know, long time no post. This year is proving to not be the nicest to me, and this summer was RL work mixed in with it all. That means little time for creation. But as the summer comes more to an end (at least for those in my part of the world...) I'm able to work in events once more and bring out some new things.

So! Starting midnight SL tonight (basically tomorrow), the fourth Medieval Fantasy Fair is open!

I don't have anything huge and new (see the above time management issues) but I was able to get at least one new item, a new hunt item and a gacha item out. You can get the group gift version of the hunt item from the subscriber in world, so make sure that you are joined. The more time I have and more things I release, the more special versions go out to followers.

I also able to do Slink appliers. This means hands and feet, but also the new mesh body. And, due to a recent request, I can do the 'Cute Azz' applier as well. And the Lola applier, but that one I have had for a little bit. (The Mesh Project said that I should be getting a group invite once they have my page set up, so hopefully soon, that as well.) If you have any specific requests, things you would like turned into appliers and what not, there is a 'mail box' in the shop in world. Just drop in a NC with the request and your name, and I'll reply as soon as I can. (This applies to events, tattoos you would like to see and what not as well.)

Alright, enough rambling. Pictures!

Have fun everyone, and see you (maybe) at the fair!

New Release: Brush Fade Tattoo

There wasn't much point to the tattoo style other than something fun and to play with an idea. The complete set with eventually go up to 150 or so, but for the first few buyers, it's only 65L.

As you can see, it varies in each tattoo to where it fades in and out, and you can color it to your own color preference. Each tattoo is copy/mod, Lola Tango appliers (bra layer) sold separately.

Have an idea or request? Feel free to contact me in world.

New Release: Spots!

On the Marketplace there are already a wide number of spotted tattoos and skins. But when I started to make tattoos it was in the interest of providing tattoos to the RP community so that anyone could build an avatar that they loved without having to drop 5K in L to do so. In the interest of that, I took a look around at the spotted tattoos and found two things. One, most were not in tattoo, but in skins. And Two, almost all the spots were a set color, meaning that if you wanted something more toned to your personal skin choice, it was harder to get what you wanted.

So, in keeping with my mission of providing a variety of tattoos that can be used to build your custom av, I have created a spotted tattoo, tintable, and also made the matching Lola Tango appliers for it. The first version of this is the 'Full' spots, with another version with fewer spots to come shortly (hopefully). It comes in dark and light (so strong and faded) to help you get the perfect look that you want. While it does not have the 'cut' lines for the seams, there is sadly a gap where the seams are. For that reason, the price will be a bit lower than normal. But for the first few lucky buyers, the price will be zero.

Yes. Zero.

Either come in world and grab it before I price, or watch on my marketplace shop for it to magically appear.

Update: Mesh Appliers!

I've started to get questions and requests for the appliers for mesh breasts. I know there are a few varieties out there, so please, contact me if you'd like an applier and we'll see what we can do for you. At present, many thanks to a friend, I have the appliers for the Lola Tangos that seem to be most popular.

(Earlier section deleted. See update please!)

FURTHER UPDATES:

If you are curious what I have as Works In Progress... Mostly things are on hold as I tend to RL work. But I do have some tintable spots for those spot lovers and am working on some crystal/stone tattoos as well that do not have the seams. As always, if there are specific requests, I am open to hearing ideas.

UPDATES (Part 2): I have appliers ready to go for Mer Scales, Dragon Scales, Colorfade and Reptile Scales. At present you can get these at the in world store ( http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Novazeit/244/15/2802 ). Shortly I will get them placed onto the marketplace for easier finding ( http://tinyurl.com/ob9g9x3 ).

Also, some recent feedback says that there is a want for stripes and spots with the appliers, so that will be the next task. A post will be made once those are available.

I'll try to add something pretty later.
